Accra Hearts of Oak have appointed Serbian coach Nebojsa Kapor as their new head coach.
The club announced the appointment on Saturday, July 25. Kapor has signed a two-year contract and will lead the team into the 2026/27 season.
According to Hearts of Oak, the appointment followed a detailed recruitment process aimed at helping the club return to the top of Ghanaian and African football.
Kapor is a UEFA-licensed coach with experience in the Ghana Premier League. He has previously coached Tema Youth, Bechem United and Medeama SC.
The club believes his knowledge of Ghanaian football, tactical ability and focus on youth development make him the right person for the job.
Kapor is known for building disciplined and attacking teams. During his time at Medeama, he was praised for giving young players opportunities and improving the team’s style of play.
Hearts of Oak said his coaching approach supports the club’s long-term plans.
The club also confirmed that more technical appointments will be announced in the coming weeks as preparations continue for the new season.
The Board of Directors has asked supporters to give Kapor and his technical team their full support.
Kapor’s main task will be to rebuild the team and return Hearts of Oak to the title race after several disappointing seasons.
The Phobians hope his appointment will bring stability, success and qualification for continental competitions.
