Manchester United’s new Premier League campaign has begun with a major setback.
Newly promoted Hull City defeated United 2-0 at the MKM Stadium on Saturday, producing one of the biggest shocks of the opening weekend.
The result was particularly painful for United because Hull had only just returned to the Premier League after nine years away.

Centre-back Semi Ajayi opened the scoring before Nobel Mendy doubled the advantage, with both goals coming from set-piece situations.
