Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven believes the club’s major summer spending shows that it is serious about improving.

The club narrowly avoided relegation last season, but new manager Roberto De Zerbi is now rebuilding the squad.
Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and defender Jan Paul van Hecke are among the players who have joined Tottenham.
Van de Ven said the new signings have changed the mood around the club and given the players fresh confidence.
Tottenham are also expected to make more signings before the transfer window closes.
