The long-running feud between 50 Cent and Rick Ross has received fresh fuel after the final two dates of Ross’ Port of Miami 20th Anniversary Tour were canceled.
The shows were scheduled for August 28 at the Steven Tanger Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, and August 29 at the Belk Theater in Charlotte. Ticket holders were offered automatic refunds, while no detailed public explanation for the cancellations had been provided by Rick Ross at the time of the initial reports.
As expected, 50 Cent wasted little time turning the situation into another opportunity to troll his longtime rival.
The G-Unit boss took to Instagram on Saturday, August 29, sharing a post about the canceled concerts before joking about whether things were going well for Ross. He also made a reference to Ross’ Wingstop business interests, continuing the type of personal and business-related jokes that have become common throughout their rivalry.
The latest exchange comes just days after 50 Cent celebrated the return of his G-Unit x Reebok G6 sneakers. The shoes reportedly sold out within two hours after their August 20 release, and 50 once again used the achievement as an opportunity to mock Ross on social media.
However, Rick Ross has not simply ignored the trolling.
Ross responded with another personal attack aimed at 50 Cent on Instagram, showing that neither rapper appears interested in ending their years-long war of words anytime soon.
