American singer Chris Brown has pleaded guilty to affray over an incident at a London nightclub.

The case relates to a confrontation at Tape nightclub in February 2023. Prosecutors had accused Brown of attacking music producer Abraham Diaw during the incident.

Brown and his vocal coach, Omololu Akinlolu, admitted that their conduct involved unlawful violence that could have caused others to fear for their safety.

More serious charges of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and assault causing actual bodily harm were dropped.

Brown was arrested after returning to the United Kingdom in May 2025. He was later released on bail after providing a security payment of £5 million.

The 37-year-old singer is expected to be sentenced on October 26, 2026.

Affray carries a maximum prison sentence of three years, although the final punishment will be decided by the court.
