Bournemouth are close to completing an £11.1 million deal for Sevilla right-back Juanlu as new manager Marco Rose continues to strengthen his squad.

The 22-year-old is expected to join the Cherries on a long-term contract. Bournemouth will pay an initial £9.4 million, with another £1.7 million available in add-ons.

Juanlu is a tall and attacking full-back who already has plenty of experience despite his young age. He has also represented Spain several times at youth level.

He would become Bournemouth’s third signing of the summer after Antonio Silva joined from Benfica for £25.7 million and striker Alvaro Rodriguez arrived from Elche for the same fee.

Rose is now believed to be searching for a backup goalkeeper who can compete with Djordje Petrovic.

Bournemouth are preparing for a historic season, with the club set to compete in the Europa League for the first time.

Meanwhile, Sevilla are interested in Bournemouth striker Enes Unal. The Cherries are open to selling the Turkey international, who is also attracting interest from clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

However, Bournemouth have made it clear that Eli Junior Kroupi, Rayan and Alex Scott are not for sale.
