Real Madrid are closing in on the signing of highly rated Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande after reportedly reaching a record-breaking agreement with RB Leipzig.
The Spanish giants have been locked in negotiations with Leipzig for several weeks, but a breakthrough has now been reached in one of the summer transfer window’s most closely followed sagas.
According to transfer reports, Madrid will pay a guaranteed fee of €125 million, with performance-related bonuses potentially taking the overall value of the deal to €140 million. Other reports place the final package at €135 million, depending on which add-ons are eventually activated.
